Next Group to be Announced

DBT combines cognitive behavioral techniques designed to change behavior with mindfulness practice designed to promote awareness, acceptance and sense of self. Group members will learn and practice skills to better identify and manage their emotions, control their impulses, handle difficult life events, improve their ability to interact effectively with others and gain greater ability to make positive rather than self-destructive choices in their lives. DBT has been proven effective in treating a variety of disorders characterized by problems in emotion. This group is appropriate for young adults who have difficulties with:

Impulse Control
Mood Disturbances
Anger Management
Eating Disorders
Self-Destructive Behavior
Interpersonal Skills
Addictive Behaviors

Because the group is primarily educational, participants are required to be in individual therapy as a condition of group membership. This can be with your current therapist as long as he/she is willing to communicate with us and utilize DBT in your individual sessions. The cost of group is $95 per session at time of service. If requested, you will be provided with a receipt at each session so that you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
